Warranty Policy

At Diss Discount, we aim to provide products that meet expected standards of quality, durability, and performance. This Warranty Policy explains the additional warranty coverage available on eligible products and the process for reporting defects and requesting a remedy.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It does not replace, reduce, or restrict rights that you have under the law.

1. Products Covered by Warranty

Eligible products purchased directly from Diss Discount may be covered against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty coverage generally begins from the date the product is delivered, unless a different starting date is specifically stated for the product.

Certain products may have product-specific warranty terms. Where different warranty information applies, the relevant details will be provided on the applicable product page or accompanying documentation.

2. Standard Warranty Period

Unless a different period is stated for a particular product, the standard additional warranty period is 12 months from the date of delivery.

If a qualifying defect occurs during the applicable warranty period, we will assess the issue and determine an appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and your statutory rights.

3. What the Warranty Covers

The additional warranty may cover genuine defects relating to:

  • Materials used in the product

  • Manufacturing

  • Workmanship

  • Structural components

  • Functional performance under normal intended use

Products should be assembled, operated, and maintained in accordance with any instructions or care information supplied with them.

4. Circumstances Not Normally Covered

The additional warranty does not normally cover damage or faults resulting from:

  • Accidents, misuse, or abuse

  • Improper handling or use

  • Incorrect assembly or installation contrary to supplied instructions

  • Ordinary wear and tear

  • Neglect or failure to follow care instructions

  • Unauthorised alterations or modifications

  • Repairs carried out without appropriate authorisation

  • Damage caused by external circumstances outside the product's intended use

  • Normal cosmetic changes associated with ordinary use or the materials involved

  • Purchases made through unauthorised third-party sellers

These exclusions apply to the additional warranty and do not remove or restrict any statutory rights that may apply.

5. Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe that your product has developed a defect covered by this warranty, please contact Diss Discount as soon as reasonably possible.

To help us investigate your claim, please provide:

  • Your order number

  • Date of purchase or delivery

  • Product name or relevant product details

  • A clear description of the problem

  • Photographs or videos showing the issue, where possible

We may request further information or photographs if additional details are needed to assess the reported fault.

If inspection or return of the product is necessary, we will provide appropriate instructions.

6. Warranty Remedies

After reviewing the reported issue, we will determine the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances, the product, and your applicable legal rights.

Depending on the situation, a resolution may include:

  • Repair of the product

  • Replacement of the product

  • Replacement parts

  • Refund

  • Another appropriate remedy available under applicable law

Where a product needs to be returned as part of an eligible warranty claim, we will provide instructions for arranging the return.

Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued to the original payment method.

7. Statutory Consumer Rights

The additional warranty provided by Diss Discount is separate from your statutory consumer rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers may have legal rights where goods do not meet required standards, are not as described, or are not fit for their intended purpose.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to exclude, reduce, or limit statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

8. Warranty Limitations

Where permitted by applicable law, this additional warranty applies only to eligible products and qualifying defects covered by the warranty.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected regardless of whether a particular issue falls within the scope of this additional warranty.
